Automatic Updates

Vana Portal Updater is a companion background application to handle automatic updates.

Install

Download the latest release at downloads.

Place the vanaportal-updater.exe in your addon/Vanaportal folder

Place the vanaportal-updater binary in your addon/Vanaportal folder

The application will start automatically with the plugin

If an version update is detected, an in-game notification will be sent and appear in the chatlog.

In the background the updater will download and unpack the files into a temporary folder

When the updater detects that the game has been shutdown, it will attempt to apply the update depending on which part needs to be updated.

Should the updater have an problem to apply the updates, it might be due to lacking permissions.

You can apply the update manually by moving the new files to their correct folder.
